The Adiabo Bridge is the
first long bridge in Nigeria
that spans across the large
Calabar river in Cross
Rivers State, Nigeria.
The bridge substructure rests on
Ø1300mm bored piles where
barges were used for Axis in water.
The bridge’s superstructure consists
of simply supported 20m pre-cast
beams, launched by means of
mobile cranes.
Setraco was awarded the
contract for a range of works,
including: piles in water & on
land, all substructure works,
casting and launching the precast
reinforced beams, as well
as the bridge’s approach roads.
