The rehabilitation of the
existing carriageway and
the construction of a second
carriageway connecting the
Nigerian capital Abuja to
Keffi town in Nassarawa
State.
The total length of each carriageway
of the road is 50 Km, with 3 flyovers
each of 72m long and 4 river bridges
with variable lengths ranging from
20m to 120m.
The works involved presented several
challenges; a 18m high cut, a deep
filling area, and different terrain
conditions from rock to very low
bearing soil due to high water table.
The project was highly covered by the
media as it is the main road access
network connecting the capital to the
eastern part of the country.
After its successful and timely
completion, the project was noted
for its high quality standard,
placing Setraco Nigeria Limited
into the league of top national
construction companies.
