QA-QC Laboratory Technician or Engineer

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Responsible for laboratory-based tasks, which include sampling, testing, measuring, recording and analyzing results.
• Provide technical and practical support to enable the laboratory to function effectively while adhering to correct procedures, and health and safety guidelines.
• Carry out fundamental tests, which provide the foundation for the optimization of the current Company work processes, as part of our quality control and troubleshooting tasks, and carry out routine quality control testing such as slump, fresh density, air content, and compressive strength accurately and following standards test methods.
• Responsible for the pickup and delivery of concrete specimens and related logistic aspects of laboratory testing,sampling materials and preparing specimens.
• Maintain daily records of all test data, and ensure that the laboratory is well stockedand resourced.
  
  

Job Requirements:

• Civil Engineering Technologist (C.E.T.) or Technician Diploma
• Up to 2 years of related experience or relevant industry experience would be an asset
• Safety oriented
• Excellent problem solving, analytical and troubleshooting skills
• Ability to plan and organize effectively
• Team oriented and willing to help out in all areas of the department
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Computer and data entry skills – MS Office – Excel, Word and PowerPoint
• Knowledge of country of operation and surrounding areas
